Buy your own tie dye kit!
At Groovy Panda, we constantly hear "We do our own tie dying, but it turns out so dull" or "The colors fade so fast!" We have a solution for you! Our tie dye kits aren't neatly packaged, but they are pretty fantastic when you use high quality dyes and the chemicals that are included.
Basic Tie Dye Kit--$18
This kit includes:
*Three 8-oz bottles already filled with Procion dye powder and all the chemicals needed to start the chemical reactions. All you have to do is add water. Lukewarm water for all colors except turquoise bearing dyes--these you should add hotter water. The dyes in the kit are in the "typical" colors of Turquoise, Fuchsia, and Yellow. By mixing these three dyes, you can get green, purple and orange.
*1 cup soda ash (this makes 1 gallon of solution)
*Rubber Bands and rubber gloves.
*Instructions
This kit should easily dye six adult t-shirts. Any items that are at least 90% cotton, rayon, silk, hemp, or natrual, plant based fiber works well with these dyes.
