Why "Groovy Panda"?
Ashley has enjoyed tie dying most of her life. It became a huge hobby when she helped over 90 kids learn to tie dye through an after school program. Since then, she's enjoyed teaching her family and friends the unique techniques there are out there.
Longer than she has enjoyed tie dying, Ashley has loved collecting pandas. They range from panda socks to stuffed animals; cookie jars to cd holders. Groovy, Panda, and Ashley all go so well together.
She is learning new techniques all the time. Sometimes they don't turn out. Tears have been shed over it too. At least it wasn't over spilled milk. She hasn't done that in YEARS. The items that don't turn out too perfect is why we offer our DUDS at a discount price.
All of our dyes are like children, however. We cannot pick one that is our favorite. They are all unique and different. Each have good and bad qualities to them.
About our products:
Please, pretty please, look at the washing instructions on the individual garments. Some of them are silk, some are cotton, some are rayon, some are blends. Each item is uniquely dyed, and each item has unique washing instructions.
Now that they have been dyed, they are very close to colorfast. Like any dyed item, there will be minor bleeding from the pigments in the dye. Wash with dark clothing. Don't wear in the rain until washed a few times, as the items may bleed on you. For the same reason, don't wear the items while sweating a lot (exercising). That's just gross.
Otherwise, the items have been washed at least once and are ready for wear.
For now I stick to doing craft shows. Check them out under the "Upcoming events" link.
